Line Item Highlights

Overview

Static Line Item Highlights display fixed text badges on products that match specific criteria. Unlike dynamic highlights that calculate values, static highlights show the same text for all matching products. This makes them perfect for category labels, promotional badges, and product status indicators.

Configuration Options

Basic Settings

Target Products (Required)

  • Methods:
    • Specific Products (by ID or handle)
    • Product Collections
    • Product Tags
    • Product Type
    • Product Vendor
    • Price conditions (on sale, free, above/below threshold)
    • Inventory conditions (low stock, out of stock)
    • Line item properties (has property, property value)
  • Best Practice: Use Display Rules to precisely target products
  • Note: This is the most critical setting - wrong targeting means wrong products highlighted

Highlight Content (Required)

For static highlights, you'll enter fixed text that appears on all matching products.

Examples:

  • "SALE"
  • "NEW"
  • "BEST SELLER"
  • "LIMITED EDITION"
  • "FREE GIFT"
  • "PRE-ORDER"
  • "LOW STOCK"

Styling Options

Badge Style

Creates a colored badge/pill shape around your text, making it stand out prominently.

Visual Effect: Colored background with rounded corners Best For: High-visibility labels that need to catch attention Inherits: Your checkout's "Pill" or "Badge" style settings

Text Style

Displays the highlight as plain text without a background container.

Visual Effect: Styled text inline with product information Best For: Subtle information that doesn't need to dominate Style Properties:

  • Text color
  • Font weight (bold, regular)
  • Font size
  • Font style (italic, normal)
