Link Text Component

Best Practices

Link Text

  • Make link text descriptive ("shipping policy" not "click here")
  • Keep link text concise (2-5 words)
  • Use natural language that flows with surrounding content
  • Ensure linked text clearly indicates destination

Context

  • Provide enough surrounding context so link purpose is clear
  • Don't overload paragraphs with too many links (2-3 maximum)
  • Ensure links are relevant to surrounding content

Technical

  • Always open in new tab to preserve checkout session
  • Test links to ensure they work correctly
  • Use https:// URLs (secure) rather than http://
  • Verify links work on mobile devices
