Searchspring x Checkout Components
Searchspring is a technology company that specializes in e-commerce site search, product merchandising, and personalization solutions. Their software is designed to help online retailers improve how shoppers search for and discover products, ultimately aiming to boost conversions and revenue.
Checkout Components integration enables merchants to use Searchspring's powerful recommendations system to power their checkout recommendations, with full coverage of best practice implementations.
Integrations are only available to merchants on the Pro plan of the Checkout Components app.
Configuration
To enable the Searchspring integration, you will need to find your Searchspring siteID
and a recommendations profile
. These can be found in your Searchspring account settings.
siteID
A siteId is a unique identifier assigned to each website or store using Searchspring. This ID allows the system to distinguish one websites data (search queries, clicks, orders, etc.) from anothers.
Where do I find my siteId? Login to the Searchspring Management Console and navigate to the My Account page, you'll see your siteId under the Account Details section.
Recommendation Profiles
Recommendation profiles are preset configurations that determine which products are recommended to shoppers and under what circumstances. Think of them as “rulesets” that define the logic and style of recommended items (e.g., “Also Bought,” “Similar Products,” or “Recently Viewed”).
Where do I find my Profiles?
Profiles can be found at the product recommendations page. Copy and paste a Tag
from one of the profiles on the list.
Connecting Checkout Components to Searchspring
On the Checkout Components dashboard, navigate to the settings/integrations
via the left hand menu and select Searchspring
as the provider. Enter your siteID
and recommendations profile
in the respective fields and click Save
button.
- If you have updated your Searchspring recommendations profile, you will need to recreate your upsell components for the change to come into effect. Profiles are saved against components when they are created.
- You will need to ensure that in your Searchspring Management Console you have enabled variants to show in "Display In Recs" on the Data screen. Otherwise, the recommendations will not display to customers.

How do I know if my Searchspring integration is working?
When you go to create a new upsell component, you will see a new option to select Searchspring as the provider. If you do not see this option, please ensure you are on the Pro plan of the Checkout Components app.
I've created my component, and the integration is enabled, but I don't see any recommendations?
Please ensure that you have enabled variants to show in "Display In Recs" on the Data screen in your Searchspring Management Console. If you have done this and still do not see recommendations, please reach out to our support team for further assistance.
Does Checkout Components send intellisuggest and Beacon events to Searchspring?
