Algolia x Checkout Components
Algolia is a comprehensive solution for implementing powerful search and discovery functionality in websites or applications. By delivering speed, relevance, and high configurability, it helps businesses provide a user-friendly and efficient search experience that can significantly increase user engagement and conversions.
Checkout Components integration enables merchants to use Algolia Recommend to power their checkout recommendations, with full coverage of best practice implementations.
Integrations are only available to merchants on the Pro plan of the Checkout Components app.
Configuration
To enable the Algolia integration, you will need to find your Algolia API Key
and your Application ID
. These can be found in your Alogila dashboard.
API Key and Application ID
A siteId is a unique identifier assigned to each website or store using Algolia. This ID allows the system to distinguish one websites data (search queries, clicks, orders, etc.) from anothers.
Where do I find my API Key and Application ID? Login to the Algolia Dashboard and navigate to the Overview Page, you'll see your API Key & Application ID in the "Your API Keys" section.
Connecting Checkout Components to Algolia
On the Checkout Components dashboard, navigate to the settings/integrations
via the left hand menu and select Algolia
as the provider. Enter your API Key
and Application ID
in the respective fields and click Save
button.
FAQ
How do I know if my Algolia integration is working?
When you go to create a new upsell component, you will see a new option to select Algolia as the provider. If you do not see this option, please ensure you are on the Pro plan of the Checkout Components app.
