Boost Commerce x Checkout Components

Boost Commerce is an AI-powered product discovery and recommendation platform designed specifically for e-commerce. Their advanced algorithms help online retailers deliver highly relevant product recommendations through multiple AI models including bestsellers, frequently bought together, trending items, and personalized suggestions.

Checkout Components integration enables merchants to use Boost Commerce AI to power their checkout recommendations, with support for multiple recommendation types and fallback algorithms to ensure optimal performance.

Configuration

To enable the Boost Commerce integration, you will need to find your Boost Commerce API Key and Store ID. These can be found in your Boost Commerce dashboard.

API Key and Store ID

The API Key and Store ID are unique identifiers that allow Checkout Components to securely communicate with your Boost Commerce account and retrieve product recommendations based on your store's data.

Where do I find my API Key and Store ID?

Login to the Boost Commerce dashboard and navigate to the API Settings or Integrations page. You'll find your API Key and Store ID listed in the credentials section.

FAQ

How do I know if my Boost Commerce integration is working?

When you go to create a new upsell component, you will see a new option to select Boost Commerce as the provider. If you do not see this option, please ensure you are on the Pro plan of the Checkout Components app.

I've created my component, and the integration is enabled, but I don't see any recommendations?

Boost Commerce requires sufficient order history (typically 50-100 orders minimum) to generate quality recommendations. If your store is new or has limited sales data, try using the "Bestsellers" recommendation type as it requires less historical data. If you continue to see no recommendations, please verify your API credentials are correct and contact Boost Commerce support for assistance.

Can I use different recommendation types for different components?

Yes! Each upsell component can be configured independently with different Boost Commerce recommendation types and AI models. This allows you to optimize recommendations for different checkout placements and customer segments.

What's the difference between primary and fallback algorithms?

The primary algorithm is your preferred recommendation method. If it doesn't return enough products (e.g., personalized recommendations for a new customer), the fallback algorithm automatically takes over. This ensures your upsell components always display relevant products.

Does Checkout Components send analytics data to Boost Commerce?

Yes, Checkout Components tracks impression and click events for recommendations, sending this data back to Boost Commerce. This helps improve recommendation quality over time through machine learning.
